eTend | Exploring Real Time Location System

The concept of eTend was to explore the realm of real time location systems and how they might relate to a real world situation of tradeshow events and venues.  Fueled by thelasthope.net's example using sputnik gear, eTend used a low cost active RFID setup.

Here is the concept video animatic to gain an idea of what eTend explores:
Using Processing 1.2 which is a java based sketching program with nice extensions and libraries to gain some interesting combinations of hardware and visuals.  A few screenshots of the sketch work show development, processing gui, and symbolic code for the eTend project.  Also shown are development screenshots of the sketches visuals for the final presentation.

This work was presented in an exhibition for the Bachelor of Creative Technologies.
Some dots on screen using trilateration techniques to draw on a 2D plane.
Final visual with two supported tags positioning demonstration.
First successful data extraction of the data received from tags.. all data is in hexadecimal though...
Data changed from hexadecimal to integers and printed to screen.  Used while checking linear distance readings and sent to iPhone display.
